This Privacy Policy explains how WroteYou (individual business — update with PAN-holder's legal name) (“WroteYou”, “we”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use WroteYou. We aim to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Information we collect

Account data: your email address, used to sign you in. Content you create: the text, recipient names, photos, voice recordings, and music links you add to a moment. Payment data: processed by our payment partner Razorpay — we do not store your card or UPI details. Usage data:basic, privacy-preserving analytics such as a moment's open count and a hashed (non-identifying) record of opens.

How we use it

To create and deliver your moments, process payments, notify you when a moment is opened, provide support, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

Photos, voice & recipients

Media you upload is stored privately and served only through short-lived, signed links. You are responsible for having the right to share any image, recording, or personal detail about a recipient that you include in a moment.

AI features

If you use Custom AI moments, the description you provide is sent to our AI provider to generate your moment. Please avoid including sensitive personal data in AI prompts.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that make WroteYou work — hosting, database, payments (Razorpay), email delivery, and AI generation — under their respective terms, and where required by law.

Retention & your rights

You can view and delete your moments from your dashboard. Under the DPDP Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@wroteyou.com. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
